In the minds of some people, myths are nothing more than stories told around the fireplace on cold winter nights, with no purpose other than entertainment, enjoyment, and passing the time. These people are mistaken if they take myths as mere fables, containing nothing of reality or purpose except what they include of stray, strange fantasies unsuitable for children.
Myths have never been anything like that, otherwise they would not have been able to be the immortal pillars upon which the foundations of world literature were built, nor would they have become the roots from which these diverse colors of literature and arts have branched out. This book includes a selection of the most famous myths from various Eastern civilizations, starting from the Pharaonic civilization to Japanese and Chinese civilizations. The author of the book was keen to narrate these myths in literary language and an engaging style, without deviating from accuracy, distortion, or editing the events, so that they would be accessible to the ordinary reader.
