An antique book titled (The Genuine Epistles of the Apostolick Fathers), published in 1719 AD, translated by Archbishop of Canterbury (William Wake). The book bears a dedication from (Daniel Williams). Full calfskin binding with some bumps, spine detached but text pages are clean. It contains a collection of writings by early Christian figures, including: (Barnabas / Clement / Ignatius / Polycarp / Hermas). It also includes accounts of the martyrdom of Saints (Ignatius and Polycarp), written by those who witnessed their suffering, and is presented as a complete collection of ancient writings from approximately 150 years after Christ, alongside the New Testament scriptures. Archbishop Wake's translation was first published in 1693 AD with the aim of making these important early Christian texts accessible to English-speaking readers. Archbishop (William Wake) translated this collection of early Christian writings, and it is noteworthy for making these texts available to the English-speaking public. The book includes an extensive introduction in which he argues that the Church of England best represents the primitive model of the early Church. The book has 357 pages and is in English.
