Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Course
Course Description
PHTLS courses improve the quality of trauma care and reduce mortality. The program is based on a philosophy that emphasizes the treatment of the trauma patient according to the specific needs of each case. The PHTLS course enhances critical thinking skills as the basis for providing high-quality care. It is based on the premise that paramedics or first responders to trauma cases are capable of making logical decisions regarding patient care, given the fundamental principles and skills they have been trained on in this course.
