Canary Canary Islands

We often hear from canary breeders about the "Tasyif" disease. What is Tasyif, what does it look like, and what are its signs? First, Tasyif comes from the word "sayf" (sword), and from here we notice in the picture the canary's abdomen with the breastbone protruding like a sword, hence the disease was named Tasyif. So, the Tasyif disease is a condition that affects the bird after some illness, whether it's diarrhea, salmonella, or a cold... The cause of this condition is primarily mites, as they live on the bird's blood, weakening its physique and immunity. Also, as we mentioned, it has gone through some illnesses, which led to it contracting Tasyif. However, there is no direct medicine for this condition or disease, but there is a follow-up with a dietary regimen for the bird to transition from this stage to a stage of activity and vitality, God willing. First, we must provide vitamins through the water in the bird's drinker, which are available at bird supply stores or from the veterinarian. Second, you should provide soft food for the bird. In this condition, it cannot eat all seeds due to the hardness of some and due to its weakened body from the illness. Therefore, you should provide boiled eggs, "BT" (likely a type of bird food), grated carrots, and cauliflower, all in balanced amounts throughout the week. The treatment period depends on the bird's condition and can last up to a maximum of two months. #Sohail_Salem_Page_For_Canary_Breeding
