10 Kuwaiti Dinars (Second Issue, Second Banknote) Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah assumed power on November 24, 1965, after the death of his half-brother Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah. He was the first Minister of Foreign Affairs in Kuwait's history, in the first ministry on January 17, 1962. He was appointed Crown Prince on October 29. The Central Bank of Kuwait issued the second series of banknotes in two phases. Banknotes of denominations (quarter dinar, half dinar, ten dinars) were issued on Tuesday, November 17, 1970, and then banknotes of denominations (one dinar, five dinars) were issued on Tuesday, April 20, 1971.
