An archaeological book by the author (Claude Fleury) titled (Abridgment of Ecclesiastical History) and dated 1766 AD.
The French writer and philosopher (Voltaire) said about it: "He lived at court in seclusion and worked." His book "History of the Church" is considered the best ever written, and its introductions still surpass the history itself. They are, unlike history, almost philosophical.
What also distinguishes the book is the first page, which contains a signature dated 1906 AD belonging to (Ermanno Gabrielli di Montevecchio), an Italian nobleman and cavalry officer who lived from 1885 AD to 1948 AD. This page is characterized by a bold handwritten signature and a date from the early twentieth century.
The main text written on the page is:
Ermanno di Montevecchio
Fano, 1906
The smaller, faded French text at the top of the page describes the book itself:
"Ce livre est tr
eighborhoods rare et curieux, est..." ("This book is very rare and curious, it is...").
The book has 360 pages in French, is in excellent condition, and has a genuine leather cover.
