A luxurious Ottoman silk fabric piece in Lampas Weave, decorated with a zig-zag geometric pattern featuring decorative bands with religious inscriptions in a decorative linear style. The fabric includes religious phrases such as: * Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings to the Prophet. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to bestow] blessings upon him and ask [Allah to grant] peace. (Quran 33:56) * There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. * May Allah be pleased with Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, and all the Companions. It also features decorative elements in the form of a niche repeating the phrase: O Most Gracious, O Most Bountiful The piece is accompanied by a handwritten Ottoman document bearing the Sultan's Tughra and seals, indicating that by the order of our Lord Sultan Abd al-Majid I, this blessed piece was woven for the Noble Garden (Rawdah Sharifa). The document states that the fabric is made of colored silk embroidered with a thousand prayers upon our Master Muhammad ﷺ, and it was sent for safekeeping until the departure of the Holy Caravan (Mahmal Sharif) in the year 1260 AH. ⸻ Measurements Silk fabric measurement 89 × 80 cm Document measurement 71 × 10 cm
