Dombi and his son

10
Dombey and Son | In the novel "Dombey and Son", Dickens addresses a topic common in many societies to this day. It is the necessity of having a male heir for the father's profession or business; especially if that father is very wealthy. Money and power hold great importance in the society of the wealthy. Although this idea is prevalent among the wealthy and business owners to this day, Dickens addressed it from the perspective of his era; he excelled in portraying it and conveying it to the reader.
