Letters Sealed with the Stamp of Joy: This book seeks to recapture some fleeting moments from the life of a strong friendship that brought together two great European figures: the writer Georges Simenon and the Italian cinema giant Federico Fellini. It was a deep friendship in life, art, and literature, which initially arose spontaneously but soon strengthened, reinforced by mutual appreciation between the two men and great respect for each other's talent, and continuous encouragement for distinguished contributions. The bond of this affection was further documented by a collection of important paper letters exchanged by the friends for over a decade. This formed a unique communicative experience, which can be likened to the great communicative experiences that brought together other great writers and artists, spread across the East and West. This, by God, is an experience that the current cybernetic age, with its short virtual messages devoid of distilled emotional expression or a vibrant, warm translation of one's inner feelings and emotions, is almost covering up. Simenon and Fellini's epistolary experience combined two different life experiences and imaginative knowledge, and two asymmetrical artistic giants, each with his own creative field, convictions, and personal vision of art and life. However, this did not prevent the two men from sharing many moments of psychological and mental clarity, expressing admiration and appreciation for each other, sharing some opinions and intellectual convictions, and discussing the same terrible psychological states that relentlessly attack the creative person, consume their inner selves, and threaten them with despair.
