2009 Philadelphia and Denver Mint Uncirculated Coin Set.
The 2009 set is considered an important and distinguished set for collectors due to:
_ The original copper composition in the Lincoln cents (95% copper, same as the original 1909 issue) and the four distinct and special designs for this issue.
_ The satin finish on the coins has a smooth, matte texture resulting from a special striking process.
_ Low mintage: A smaller number of coins were produced, especially for the dimes/nickels, making these copies highly valuable.
The set consists of 36 coins divided between two mints, Philadelphia (P) with 18 pieces and Denver (D) with 18 pieces.
Includes:
. 12 quarters (Washington Quarters) with 6 designs for each mint as part of the "District of Columbia and U.S. Territories" program (Puerto Rico / Guam / American Samoa / U.S. Virgin Islands / Northern Mariana Islands).
. 8 1-cent coins (Lincoln Cents) with 4 different "Lincoln Bicentennial" designs for each mint, commemorating the stages of Abraham Lincoln's life (Birth / Formative Years / Professional Life / Presidency).
