Weaving:
Symmetrical knot (Tabriz/Ghiordes) with medium to high density (≈ 250–350k knots/m2), with meticulous execution and clarity in the motifs.
Design:
A tiered sunburst center from which emanates a radial pattern of green almond-shaped motifs separated by burgundy lines, inspired by dome decorations. Each motif contains fine floral Shah Abbasi ornamentation, surrounded by an ivory border with interlaced patterns.
Colors:
Turquoise, ruby green, burgundy, navy blue, sky blue, and ivory with beige highlights.
Origin and Condition:
Tabriz – Iran, contemporary production (late 20th – early 21st century). Very good condition; vibrant colors, intact edges, and sound fringes with light wear.
