The engine has had the timing shafts, chain, sprockets, and tensioners replaced due to a known manufacturing defect. It consumes oil depending on how you drive, from half a bottle to a bottle and a half. There's an intermittent lifter noise. The car is empty because the catalytic converter is clogged.
