Choosing the right partner:
Or how to get a project partner and sign an agreement with them:
Considering them from a legal, financial, administrative, social, knowledge, and religious perspective, do they meet the criteria or not:
* Legally, are they keen on all partnership agreement procedures? Or if they are unaware but keen and agree to it, such as documenting transactions or writing a partnership agreement. For your information, a civil partnership agreement, i.e., an informal one, is void if not written. Therefore, a partnership agreement must be written to prove the partnership and regulate its work. I previously discussed the most important clauses in drafting a partnership agreement.
* Financially, considering the partner's ability to pay the company's debts in case of loss. The law does not excuse a creditor from providing their money to a debtor without verifying their ability to repay, let alone among partners.
* Administratively, their ability to manage the partnership if they are the ones managing it, or at least their agreement to delegate the company's management to a person agreed upon by the parties.
* Socially, differentiating between work times and social relationship times. If this partner is a relative, for example, they should not discuss partnership matters during social gatherings or carry feelings about what happens in the partnership outside of work hours. If a dispute arises, it is incorrect to sever ties and distance yourself.
* Knowledge-wise, their knowledge of at least the basics of the business they will participate in and their interest in it. If the partner does not have the same interest and ambition as you, or if this partner will be a burden on you.
* Religiously, their commitment to honesty, their concern for what is lawful and unlawful, and their application of Islamic Sharia principles. The origin of partnership is the injustice of partners to each other, and about them, God Almighty says: "And indeed, many of the partners wrong one another, except for those who believe and do righteous deeds - and they are few."
