Job Application

Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you. I write these words with a heart aching for the situation of a man I know closely, a Saudi man with a university degree and long administrative experience in both the public and private sectors. He worked in one of the giant companies in Riyadh with all honesty, sincerity, and diligence. However, fate decreed that he be among those whose services were terminated years ago, and since that day, his life has changed completely. A quiet man, chaste, who does not complain or beg, his only concern is to provide a decent living and lawful sustenance for his children. By God, whom there is no god but Him, I have seen nothing from him but patience, good morals, and sincere work. But today, he faces circumstances that, if placed on a mountain, would cause it to crumble. Imagine, noble people… Immediately after his services were terminated, he lost his father. Then, only a few days passed before his mother passed away, may God have mercy on her. It was as if the world had closed all its doors in his face at once. The pain of losing his job, the pain of orphanhood, the hardship of life, the responsibility for his children, and poverty converged upon him, until he began to carry the burden of his day and night in a painful silence that only God knows. Despite all that… He is still looking for work with dignity, and he still repeats: "Sustenance is from God." He did not ask for luxury or comfort, only an honorable opportunity to live on, he and his children, lawfully. So, people of good and compassionate hearts, whoever can help him with a job, an opportunity, or even forward his resume to someone in decision-making power, do not withhold your help. By God, standing by the needy in these blessed days is a trade with God that will not be lost. I ask God Almighty to provide for everyone who helps him from where he does not expect, to open for him the doors of goodness and happiness, and to make what he offers in the balance of his good deeds on the day he meets God. And whoever relieves a Muslim of a hardship, God will relieve him of a hardship from the hardships of the Day of Resurrection.
