Schneider's skink (also known as the Barbary skink or Schneider's burrower), scientific name Eumeces schneiderii. Key Features: External Appearance: Characterized by a long, tapering cylindrical body covered in smooth, shiny scales. Colors: Dominated by olive-gray or brown, with bright orange and yellow spots and dots adorning its back and sides. Natural Habitat: Prefers to live in dry, semi-desert environments, sandy and rocky areas where it excels at digging trenches and hiding under sand and rocks. Diet: Primarily insectivorous, feeding in nature on insects, worms, and arthropods.
