A seemingly simple question was posed, but it revealed something deep within humans: If a woman found herself alone in a forest, would she be safer with a man or a bear? The answers were divided; some saw the bear as an untrustworthy danger, while others chose the bear despite its strength and ferocity. The choice was not an glorification of the bear or a condemnation of the man, but an acknowledgment of a fundamental difference between known danger and unknown danger. The bear does not hide its nature, nor does it claim to be other than what it is, while humans have the ability to hide their intentions behind words and faces. Therefore, the question was not about strength, but about predictability. Sometimes, humans fear not the harm itself, but the ambiguity that precedes it. And for this reason, the woman lay down near the bear in this painting; not because she saw absolute safety in it, but because she saw a clear truth in it, while some human truths remain more complex than any forest. The painting is sold, but a similar work can be done. Oil paints
