Lexus GS 200
For the experienced, I have a Lexus GS 2013. The car turns off while driving, and the problem is with the fuel pump. The mechanic said to change the fuel pump with the filter.
Question: Is it possible that the fuel filter alone is the cause? Or does the filter not cause the car to turn off? Should I trust the mechanic's word and change the whole pump with the filter? (I doubt his word because the car doesn't have much sputtering). When I start it cold, it's smooth and doesn't turn off. After some time, it starts to turn off.
Do the injectors need me to remove the engine and clean them? Or is the cleaning liquid that I put in the fuel tank enough?
