Durability and Hardness Normal Glass: Less strong and hard, breaks easily with light or moderate impacts. Tempered Glass: 4 to 5 times stronger than normal glass; because it undergoes thermal or chemical treatment that increases its resistance to pressure and breakage. 2. Breakage and Safety Normal Glass: When shattered, it breaks into large, sharp, and very dangerous fragments that can cause severe injuries upon contact. Tempered Glass: When subjected to a strong break, it breaks into small, pebble-like, non-sharp granules, reducing the likelihood of serious injuries. 3. Resistance to Heat and Thermal Shock Normal Glass: Cracks easily when exposed to sudden temperature differences (only between 40 to 60 degrees Celsius). Tempered Glass: Withstands high temperatures up to 250 degrees Celsius and is not affected by sudden thermal differences like pouring cold water on hot glass.
